Not Fade Away - Grateful Dead, 9/9/74, Alexandra Palace, London, England So, I decided to make this the first 'real' post for a couple reasons. First, I don't mean for this to be a space of 'high culture,' though, by consequence of my interests in the arts it might very well become one incidentally. Thus, I thought it'd be interesting to start things off with some tunes! Second, I figure I'll be returning to that first letter frequently, and you might too! So, I thought it'd also be meaningful to have this song right nearby. Not Fade Away was first written, performed, and produced by Buddy Holly alongside his band The Crickets. The Rolling Stones and Sheryl Crow both have chart-topping covers, however, in my opinion, the definitive covers were performed by the Grateful Dead.
