High Thoughts

As you know, last time I got high I had a weird moment with music and decided to write it all down in my notes. I got on a train of thought last night and decided to roll with the mood. It's a little weird. Kinda poetic. Very much weird. I love you.

I think about my exes and if I truly loved them. 
when I thought of telling Sam I loved him, my heart beat would increase and I feel a grin coming about my face. 
When I think of Michael, my heart faulted and I felt my gut drop. 
I know my love for and with Sam is real
I believe Sam
He is scary because he is so charming and innocent but realistic and rough around the edges but incredibly warm and cozy and snuggly and adorable and beautiful and gorgeous at heart. He makes my heart gooey
I really have never felt like this before.
I am completely flabbergasted
This is wild.
Wow
I really am in love
Is this too early? Is this rushed?
 How did we fall this hard this quick?
Because it’s real.
Because he makes my heart flutter.
Man I’m so high.

Camille Monet and a Child in the Artist's Garden in Argenteuil - Claude Monet, 1875 I first time saw this painting was on January 4th, '18 at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. I was picking Leta up from her flight in from Dallas that night and decided - on a bit of a whim - to head to MFA in the morning before picking her up. I wandered through the museum in a fairly desultory way, seeing the sights - trying to not get caught picking my nose, before finding myself in the contemporary wing. I've always preferred modern art for some reason. I think, in some ways, I am intrigued by the sense of purpose I find in later art. That's not to say earlier works didn't have meaning, just that I'm not as attracted to the constraints of commissioned pieces for affluent recipients.
