Travel

“In Life, It’s Not Where You Go, It’s Who You Travel With” –  Charles Schulz “Never go on trips with anyone you do not love.” – Ernest Hemingway “A journey is best measured in friends, rather than miles.” – Tim Cahill “The more I traveled the more I realized that fear makes strangers of people who should be friends.” – Shirley MacLain “You develop a sympathy for all human beings when you travel a lot.” – Shakuntala Devi “Actually, the best  gift  you could have given her was a lifetime of adventures.” –  Lewis Carroll “What we find in a  soulmate  is not something wild to tame, but something wild to run with.” –  Robert Brault  “The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.” – Eleanor Roosevelt “Bizarre travel plans are dancing lessons from God.” -Kurt Vonnegut “One’s  destination  is never a place, but a new way of seei...

An Octopus

Image
An Octopus - Marianne Moore of ice. Deceptively reserved and flat, it lies 'in grandeur and in mass' beneath a sea of shifting snow-dunes; dots of cyclamen-red and maroon on its clearly defined pseudo-podia made of glass that will bend–a much needed invention– comprising twenty-eight ice-fields from fifty to five hundred feet thick, of unimagined delicacy. 'Picking periwinkles from the cracks' or killing prey with the concentric crushing rigor of the python, it hovers forward 'spider fashion on its arms' misleading like lace; its 'ghostly pallor changing to the green metallic tinge of an anemone-starred pool.' The fir-trees, in 'the magnitude of their root systems,' rise aloof from these maneuvers 'creepy to behold,' austere specimens of our American royal families, 'each like the shadow of the one beside it. The rock seems frail compared with the dark energy of life,' its vermilion and onyx and m...

La Vie en Rose

"La Vie en Rose" translates to "A life in Pink", a life with a rosy glow. Your presence is a beautiful warm glow in my life. Hold me close and hold me fast This magic spell you cast This is La Vie en Rose When you kiss me heaven sighs And when I close my eyes I see La Vie en Rose When you press me to your heart I'm in a world apart A world where roses bloom And when you speak angels sing from above Everyday words seem to turn into love songs Give your heart and soul to me And life will always be La Vie en Rose

High Thoughts

As you know, last time I got high I had a weird moment with music and decided to write it all down in my notes. I got on a train of thought last night and decided to roll with the mood. It's a little weird. Kinda poetic. Very much weird. I love you. 6/10/2018, 12:45 AM I think about my exes and if I truly loved them.  when I thought of telling Sam I loved him, my heart beat would increase and I feel a grin coming about my face.  When I think of Michael, my heart faulted and I felt my gut drop.   I know my love for and with Sam is real I believe Sam He is scary because he is so charming and innocent but realistic and rough around the edges but incredibly warm and cozy and snuggly and adorable and beautiful and gorgeous at heart. He makes my heart gooey I really have never felt like this before. I am completely flabbergasted This is wild. Wow I really am in love Is this too early? Is this rushed?  How did we fall this hard this quick? Because it’s rea...

Kennedy Baked Ziti Recipe

1 Box ziti pasta (penne).  1 egg.  1 jar of sauce.  2 cups shredded mozzarella.  14 oz (or close to that) of ricotta cheese. Cook the pasta. Combine everything else in a large bowl and stir. Add cooked pasta. Poor into a 13x9 pan and bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until bubbly. I was making this last night as it was the first home cooked meal I've had in quite some time, and the first time I've cooked since the new year. As such, I thought it be appropriate to cook, not my favorite meal, but an important one. IT's one that has been passed down in my family for many years and while simple, it's a staple of Kennedy meals. As I was cooking I couldn't help but think of you and how much fun it would be to cook, but not only that - actually pass along a recipe that's important to me. So, feel free to use this if you ever want to switch things up, again its be no stretch my favorite meal, but one that's been passed down for several generati...
